Job Title: Lead Graphic Designer
Reports to: Chief Communications & Marketing Officer / Communications & Marketing Manager
Location / Hours: San Juan, Puerto Rico / Full-Time
Type of Contract: Regular Position (Probationary Period)
Purpose
We expect from this role to take charge of the look and feel of the program, its digital presence and graphic identity.
To develop a strong business identity that can facilitate the community engagement desired for this program.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
Among the most important activities:
Propose and execute the graphic side for creative strategies in coordination with the Marketing and Outreach teams supporting the Trust’s channels and Trust’s programs channels as required.
Identity purposes such as but not limited to: Logo design, presentation cards, cover letters, envelopes, events assets, booth display assets, conference digital assets, and other considerations that the Trust might request.
Printed work such as but not limited to: Flyers, brochures, booklets, standing banners, press commercials and announcements, posters, press-kit, illustrations, any other considerations that the Trust might request.
Digital media works such as but not limited to: Power Point presentations, social media art designs, graphics for the web page, newsletter, any other consideration that the TRUST might request.
Manage TRUST web sites.
Engage with other program’s graphic designers for branding support and on boarding of new staff, whenever it’s needed.
Create a landing site and logo with all features required for new programs whenever requested.
Participate in regular meetings with the DMC group and with programs and programs, to provide support in other digital channels such as design for Social Media, Mailchimp, Eventbrite, among others.
Support website redesign proposal, in collaboration with the whole team as soon as the task is defined.
Present website maintenance and performance analysis.
Other related tasks as the Trust’s needs should dictate.
Qualifications & Technical Job Requirements
Able to design and coordinate member growth and lead campaigns for a broad range of digital mediums.
Expert knowledge and experience working with Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign).
Expert knowledge in WordPress and basic knowledge of HTML & CSS.
Deep understanding of process standardization and optimization for creative design.
Possess thorough understanding of emerging trends, standards, and best practices in digital design.
Must be detail oriented, self-taught, creative, with strong organizational skills and ability to work efficiently and effectively.
Experience with video editing and digital technologies is a plus.
Responsible and motivated to bring new technologies and design innovations to support the evolution of the program and the brand.
Must be able to define priorities and work to deadlines.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Experience & Educational Requirements
Bachelor's or equivalent degree in a relevant field of study (e.
g.
, Web Design, Graphic Design) or comparable work experience.
A minimum of three (3) years of professional experience as an Interactive Visual Designer/Web Graphic Designer or equivalent.
Exposure to and/or knowledge of digital imaging and technology field.
Experience in working on a fast-paced project.
