Additional related experience in working or administering a variety of employee benefit programs may substitute for the required college education on a year for year basis.

The Benefits Supervisor provides countywide support to all active employees and their dependents in the Miami-Dade County, Human Resources Department Benefits Administration Division.
An employee in this role is responsible for management and administration of a variety of employee benefit programs for County employees.
Responsibilities include analyzing existing benefit program data and developing recommendations for improvements in operation, establishing effective communications with departmental personnel representatives, officials of provider companies and public organizations, and planning, assigning, and reviewing the work of subordinates to assure County compliance with state, local and federal regulations and benefit plan documents.
