The Manufacturing Supervisor will be responsible for fulfilling the production/manufacturing schedule requirements for Operation Services Business Unit in terms of quantity and due dates, maintaining the highest quality standards in compliance with company policies and procedures, and all applicable regulations.
Operation Services includes, but is not limited to: Weighing, Material Transfer, Milling, & Blending.
They plan day-to-day manufacturing and/or packaging functional areas assigned.
The incumbent uses professional and technical experience to resolve complex problems for a variety of assignments, requiring exercise of judgment and decision making.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise operational activities in two or three functional areas of a business unit.
Plan and establish work schedules, assignments, and production sequences to meet production goals.
Measure and monitor process performance and make recommendations for corrective actions as needed, while understanding and using data and statistical information to improve process.
Work as a team member with support groups to ensure outcomes are achieved.
Participate in process/product troubleshooting to correct/maintain desirable product unit yields.
Participate actively on requested communication meeting like daily meetings, quarterly meetings, and Manufacturing meetings.
Responsible for the investigation of health, safety and environmental related to manufacturing incidents and for the support/assistance of the completion of corrective actions related to these incidents.
Supervise, coach/mentor, and support development of assigned personnel.
Observe all company policies, procedures, programs, systems, rules, and regulations at all times of all compliance areas including but not limited to Safety, Environmental, Quality, Records Managements, Human Resources, Security, and others and encourage co-workers to do so.
Participate in projects, programs, committees, and special activities that the company promotes geared forward establishing its strategic goals.
Qualifications
Education:
Minimum of a Bachelor's/University or equivalent degree is required; advanced degree (MS/MBA) or a focused degree in Business Administration, Science, Pharmacy, Engineering or other related field is preferred
Experience and Skills:
Required:
Minimum two (2) years of relevant work experience in the pharmaceutical industry environment
Experience in Manufacturing Operations, Quality, Technical Operations, and/or related functions
Experience working as a Supervisor or in a Leadership role (e.
g.
, team leader, group leader, manufacturing lead associate, etc.
), including employee development/coaching
Good knowledge in regulatory compliance, safety, and environmental controls
Demonstrated strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively partner and influence at all levels of the organization
Preferred:
Proficient in performing technical writing (e.
g.
, deviations, investigations, etc.
)
Familiarity with Comet, TruVault and/or SAP
Lean/Six Sigma/DEx Yellow Belt and/or Green Belt Certification
Other:
Requires proficiency in both English and Spanish (oral and written)
Requires ability and flexibility to work during 2nd shift operational hours (8-hour shifts, ranging between 1:30PM to 11:00PM), and to provide support on other/irregular shifts, weekends, extended hours, and holidays
Requires willingness and flexibility to be cross-trained and work in various functional areas
Requires up to 10% occasional domestic and/or international travel
