Steward Position at Cheeca Lodge & Spa: A Key Role in Our Culinary Excellence

This role is vital in maintaining the high standards of cleanliness and organization that contribute to our award-winning dining experiences.
Position Overview: Job Title: Steward Average Hours/Week: 40h Average Hours/Shift: 8h Availability Required: Nights, Weekends, Holidays Key Responsibilities: Operate dishwashing machines efficiently, ensuring proper rack stacking and silver presoaking.
Maintain cleanliness by sweeping and mopping floors and addressing spills promptly.
Thoroughly clean walls, tables, racks, sinks, floor mats, disposal areas, and polish stainless steel.
Keep kitchen equipment like ovens, hoods, filters, and vents clean according to schedule.
Manage waste by emptying and cleaning trash cans at the end of each shift.
Undertake special cleaning projects as needed.
Maintain the mop station fully equipped for optimal cleanliness.
Collaborate with restaurant staff to support guest needs and kitchen operations.
Ability to lift 50 pounds as part of daily tasks.
Requirements: Previous experience in a similar role preferred.
Must be able to understand and communicate in English.
