Job Description Join the Cheeca Lodge & Spa family! Position Title: MANAGER, SECURITY The Manager of Security is responsible for the oversight of the day-to-day operations of the security department and all loss prevention activities of the property.
The most iconic resort in all the Florida Keys is seeking a Security Manager for our breathtaking resort on the water in Islamorada! Key attributes paramount for the position are as follows….

Security Management experience, of course! Excellent writing and conversive skills Minimum Requirements: Security experience required management experience preferred, experience in a resort desired.
Operation and supervision of the security department in order to ensure a safe and secure environment for guests, employees, and the physical property of Cheeca Lodge.
Must be able to work well and professionally with guests, other employees as well as vendors.
Able to collaborate effectively with other hotel employees and managers to ensure teamwork.
Excellent multitasking skills.
Computer literate in Microsoft Word, Excel etc.
Handles complaints, settling disputes, and resolving grievances and conflicts, or otherwise negotiating with others.
Monitors all unusual activities in and around the property that would impair the well-being of guests and employees.
Loss prevention operations to include but not limited to patrol process, emergency response, investigations (initial & follow up) for all guest and employee related incidents, shipping and receiving process, electronic key system.
Analyzes information and evaluating results to choose the best solution and solve problems.
Informs and/or updates the executives and peers on relevant information in a timely manner.
Provides information to supervisors and co-workers by telephone, in written form, e-mail, or in person.
Must either have, or be able to develop relationships with local law enforcement agencies for community partnerships Description of Job Qualifications Education High school diploma or GED Skills and Experience (Required) At least 18 years of age Valid and current driver’s license Must be able to speak, read and write English.
Skills and Experience (Preferred) One year experience in the hospitality or restaurant industry Must be able to work well under pressure while retaining tact and composure when resolving guest complaints.
