Logistics Dispatch Supervisor

*Job Summary:* A&R Transportation is currently looking for a Lead Dispatch Coordinator.
This role requires the supervison of up to 8 delivery drivers who handle the delivery and pickup of goods from our local ports.
You will be responsible for overseeing our team of drivers, scheduling delivery routes and ensuring safe and prompt delivery with a commitment to providing the highest quality of customer service.
Your duties will include deliveries to both commercial and private customers.
Must be a current resident of the United States Virgin Islands Must have a valid USVI Driver's License Must know how to operate standard/manual tuck Ability to lift 50 pounds Operate a forklift, pallet jack, and or truck lift Ensure implementation of corrective actions to meet customer expectations Provide Orientation, Safety training, and DOT compliance for all drivers Train drivers in roles and responsibilities Conduct weekly feedback sessions with the drivers Collaborate with other departments to identify routing, customer service, billing, and delivery time solutions.
Forecast driver and routing needs to avoid disruption on delivery schedule during holidays/special events Analyze safe and efficient deliveries for new customers Responsible for all driver-related accident investigations.
Ensure a written report is provided to the Operation Manager within 24 hours Responsible for working with HR to ensure that any Workmen's Compensation forms are completed and turned into DOL Consistently train staff on compliance following SPO Ensure all daily delivery/pick-up routes and duties have been carried out Ensure drivers maintain clean and neat surroundings within their trucks as well as department Ensure drivers complete a bi-weekly inspection report of all vehicles Ensure a weekly/monthly inspection for trucks to be on rotation for maintenance and repairs Maintain fleet compliance, operational, updated with inspections and/or regular maintenance Weekly report to Operations Manager on any scheduled maintenance and repairs to the company fleet Promote teamwork and motivation among employees Ability to use general office equipment.
Perform other duties as assigned Job Type: Full-time Pay: $43,000.
