We are seeking an enthusiastic and results-driven individual to oversee day-to-day operations, foster artist relationships, and lead sales efforts.
Key Responsibilities:
● Gallery Operations: Oversee daily operations, ensuring a welcoming and organized space for artists and visitors.
● Sales and Shipping: Take charge of all aspects of sales and shipping, including personally managing the sales desk the majority of the week.
● Financial Management: Interface with the bookkeeper, ensuring timely and accurate payments to artists and maintaining financial records for board accountability.
● Team Leadership: Hire, train, and oversee additional staff to contribute to the gallery's success.
● Display and Events: Maintain and manage gallery displays, coordinating events to showcase the artistic community.
Qualifications:
● Proven experience in gallery management and successful sales within the art industry.
● Strong organizational and leadership skills.
● Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, QuickBooks, and gallery management software.
● Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
