Applicant must have 1-3 years of related aerospace experience in similar warehouse leader role.
Overview of the Position:
The Warehouse Supervisor is in charge of supervising all personnel within the Shipping/Receiving department, to ensure that all operational and quality requirements are being fulfilled.
The Warehouse Supervisor has the responsibility and authority to perform assigned tasks.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Assisting the manager with planning and coordinating the work of a team for daily production.
Providing guidance and training to team members to ensure staff is able:
Receive inbound packages from suppliers via designated carrier.
Inspects the inbound packages for visible damage.
Inspect parts to insure picker selected product in compliance with picking order.
Prepare orders for shipment using appropriate packaging techniques based on size and weight of parts.
Reviews order for special customer requirements (test reports, specialized bar codes, etc.
) and retrieves the necessary documents from the system.
Enters required data into carrier system (UPS, FedEx, and DHL) or completes manual airway bill or bill of lading form as necessary and/or schedules pick up (for trucking and/or non-daily carriers).
Works with other departments to rectify any non-compliant goods, including incorrect or missing documents and/or damaged or missing parts or orders on hold for payment.
Interfaces with the Export Compliance Dept.
on export shipments including ITAR controlled items.
Completes US Government required Shipper’s Export Declaration (SED) for all export shipments using AES Direct internet system.
This includes looking up the Harmonized Tariff Code for the part(s) being shipped thus some product knowledge is required.
Visually inspects a variety of aerospace components to verify received goods against purchase order in system to ensure certifications match parts received, including serial and/or lot/batch.
Make adjustment in inventory system to correct inventory and/or rectify receiving errors.
Performing additional tasks as needed to support the manager and the organization.

Familiarity with FedEx and/or UPS shipping systems required.
Must have working knowledge of the internet and windows operating systems.
Aerospace traceability knowledge.
Must be trained/certified on fork-lift procedures.
Must speak, read and write in English.
Spanish is a plus.
Education /Experience Requirements: High School Certification or GED.
1-3 years of related aerospace experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience is also a consideration.
