The Casino Cage Supervisor is responsible of providing management of personnel and daily operations of the Casino Cage, while providing excellent guest service.
All duties are to be performed in accordance with federal, state, local laws, regulations, and ordinances, as well as department and company policies, practices, and procedures.
Responsibilities are under the direct supervision of the Casino Cage Manager.
* Assists in the management operations of the Casino Cage transactions and responsibilities during assigned shift.
* Monitors staffing levels and ensures effective use of labor while delivering excellent guest service.
* Ensures full compliance with all Gaming, State, Federal, and required regulations.
* Ensures all cash handling procedures are functioning within compliance and best practices guidelines.
* Ensures there is a strict emphasis on guest service, compliance with regulations, and protection of company assets, including a thorough understanding of fraud and credit scams (and the prevention thereof).
* Finds and/or assists in resolving bank errors that cannot be solved by staff.
* Advises management of major Cage exceptions.
* Maintains Cage bankroll during assigned shifts and ensures that proper procedures are adhered to for all banking transactions
* Monitors and tracks current Corporate Variance Policy on designated employees to ensure accurate and complete compliance.
* Assists in monitoring all operational areas for efficiency and effectiveness and makes recommendations for automation, where possible.
* Manages the Cage Operations teams to include efficient staffing, team member development and training, performance management and policy enforcement.
* Promotes and maintains a professional, friendly, prompt, accurate, and courteous atmosphere while providing the highest level of service to all guests
* Attend periodic meetings and training sessions
* Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
* Must possess studies in Accounting, Finance, or related field, or equivalent work experience
* Must possess a minimum of five (2) year experience in casino cage or banking experience with one (1) year supervisory/management experience
* Must possess knowledge and understanding of accounting, gaming and regulatory requirements related to cage operations
* Proficiency in mathematical computations, including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
* Knowledge of casino operations.
