5 hours per week, Afternoons 1:30pm to 6:00pm, Monday thru Friday* *Summary: *Responsible for assisting the Youth Program Coordinator and Area Supervisors with an After School Program site.
This position carries the major responsibilities for the overall management and supervision of a site with children between the ages of four (4) and twelve (12).
*Essential Duties and Responsibilities *include the following*.
*Other duties may be assigned.
Plans, supervises and implements the program in accordance to the policies, procedures and philosophy of the YWCA.
Supervises all site staff and provides a written performance evaluation at the end of the school year; Reviews and maintains complete staff files on site.
Provides accurate and timely transmissions of staff time sheets, sign in/out sheets and leave requests; Maintains correct documentation of attendance, absenteeism, excessive tardiness of staff.
Maintains and assists in planning of and enforces daily schedule of activities for Activity Leaders.
Assures proper pick-up procedures.
Insures the safety of the participants at all times.
Maintains first aid kits adequately supplied.
Establishes emergency exits and exercises monthly fire drills as well as emergency procedures to be followed in the event of a crisis.
Documents and reports to Area Director and Multi-Site Directors all accidents and incidents or crisis with staff, children or parents.
Safeguards all games, balls and other supplies, including arts & crafts materials.
Maintains proper participant enrollment records of all participant enrolled.
Maintains accurate participant program attendance.
Maintains updated Emergency Cards for all site staff and participants.
Tracks fees and expiration dates of all participants on subsidized care (CDS).
Submits all attendance and payment records to the main office in a timely manner; Keeps office informed of delinquent accounts, returned checks late pick-up fees and late payment fees.
Informs parents of their account status, returned checks, delinquent accounts, late pick-up fees, and late payment fees; Collects and transmits fees on time and writes and distributes receipts weekly.
Maintains and submits inspection reports from DCF/M-DCPS and the Health Department.
Receives snacks from cafeteria manager; submits snack order forms to main office every Friday in order of date; Records the amount of snacks served daily on the monthly meal count worksheet, (except Bay Harbor & Coral Gables) and submits report to the main office by first day of next month.
Enforces appropriate dress code.
Coordinates monthly site staff meetings.
Attends YWCA in-house staff meetings and trainings.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Occasional substitution at another site may be required.
Qualifications *Site Manager I: Associate's degree or Bachelor's Degree PREFERRED for DCF Staff Verification Certification ; CDA/FCCPC acceptable instead of associate/bachelor; DCF 45 hours childcare training required; Director's Credential preferred* Must be professionally prepared as a teacher or child care provider and personally exhibit a sensitive, mature nature that can relate well to the needs of children and parents.
Two (2) to Three (3) years experience in childhood programs including 1-2 years supervisory experience preferred; or equivalent combination of related experience and education.
Administrative experience preferred.
Good communication skills in English.
Level 2 background screening required, and drug testing.
