PART-TIME- ENGLISH COMMUNICATION PROFESSOR Part-time teaching position to offer courses at the undergraduate level in the face-to-face modality and in daytime hours with emphasis on the development of oral and written communication skills in English in which the following competencies are promoted: Strengthen each student to find his or her own voice in oral and written communication.
Explore the communicative functions of text as an intellectual, creative, social, artistic, scientific, and political manifestation, among others.
Critically analyze diverse texts and audiovisual products related to contemporary issues.
Argue a position and explain it coherently both orally and in writing.
REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS Completed master’s degree in English Language or Literature.
Homologation must be provided if the degree is from an institution outside the United States or Puerto Rico.
Teaching experience in higher education institutions (minimum two years).
Use diverse teaching methodologies to strengthen oral and written communication skills in English.
Proficiency in the use of a Learning Management System (LMS).
Knowledge of the learning assessment process.
Ability to work as part of a team.
Possess leadership qualities.
Availability to work different schedules.
Preferably, teaching experience in the use of ZOOM and CANVAS.
