Somerset City Arts Conservatory will integrate visual arts, dance, drama and music into a strong academic program to enhance instruction and improve learning for all students.
*Position start date:* January.
*Qualifications:* * Bachelor's Degree * Valid FLDOE teaching certificate in Elementary Education *Responsibilities:* * Create and implement lesson plans that align with the school curriculum and educational standards * Provide instruction in various subjects such as math, language arts, science, and social studies * Adapt teaching methods and materials to meet the diverse needs of students, including those with special education requirements * Assess student progress and provide feedback on their academic performance * Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes learning and respect * Utilize effective classroom management techniques to ensure a productive learning environment * Collaborate with other teachers, parents, and administrators to support student success * Participate in professional development activities to enhance teaching skills *Skills:* * Strong educational background with a degree in education or a related field * Experience working with children, preferably in an elementary school setting * Knowledge of childhood development principles and best practices in education * Proficient in classroom management techniques to create an engaging and structured learning environment * Ability to effectively educate students in various subjects, including math, language arts, science, and social studies * Excellent communication skills to interact with students, parents, and colleagues * Strong organizational skills for lesson planning and record keeping * Proficient in using technology for instructional purposes * Ability to proofread and provide constructive feedback on student work *Type:* Full-Time *Pay:* depends on years of experience and degree provided This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated educator who is passionate about shaping young minds.
