Responsibilities:
- Plan and conduct dance classes for students of various ages and skill levels
- Teach dance techniques, choreography, and routines in a variety of styles such as ballet, jazz, hip-hop, and contemporary
- Create lesson plans that are engaging, age-appropriate, and aligned with curriculum objectives
- Provide individualized instruction and feedback to help students improve their dance skills
- Organize and coordinate dance performances, recitals, and competitions
- Monitor student progress and communicate with parents or guardians regarding their child's development
- Maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students
Experience:
- Previous experience working with children or teaching dance to children is required
- Experience working with students of different ages and skill levels is preferred
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and curriculum development is a plus
- Familiarity with ballet techniques, jazz movements, hip-hop styles, and contemporary dance forms is necessary
- Additional skills such as photography or sewing may be beneficial in certain situations
