*Financial Literacy & Mental Health Program Facilitator (Learning Guide)*
*ROLE*
The main goal of the Financial Literacy & Mental Health Program Facilitator (Learning Guide) is to successfully guide students through our deep financial literacy program.
We define “success” as:
* Students being highly engaged in the program (showing up, playing full-on, staying in the program)
* Students successfully completing their inquiries and capstones
* Students feeling safe to seek guidance as they need it/want it
* Students successfully working through their challenges
* Students contributing to their community - the other students in their cohort
*Responsibilities*
* Review and learn the curriculum
* Guide students through the curriculum two days a week for two hours (with a 30-minute meal break, your meal is included)
* Mentor students - help them navigate and problem-solve the challenges that come up as they learn and grow through their inquiries and capstones
* Be emotionally available to students - find ways to support them during the sessions and keep an eye out for home-life issues that may affect them in the program (report possible issues to the team so that we can troubleshoot those issues and look for resources to support them and their family)
* Foster a community within the cohort so that students are helping each other - teamwork makes the dream work! We take the surgeon approach to learning - learn one, do one, teach one.
Guide students through that approach.
