*Job Summary*
Create and deliver engaging lessons to diverse groups of students promoting enthusiasm for learning.
Plan, organize, and implement an appropriate instructional program in a secondary learning environment that encourages students to develop as mature, able, and responsible Christians and leads them to fulfill their academic potential.
As spiritual role models, motivate students to accept God’s gift of salvation and lead them to a realization of their self-worth in Christ.
Teachers ensure that the classroom work environment is Christian-based, nurturing, wholesome, and loving.
*Duties and Responsibilities*
* Essential functions of the job may include but are not limited to the following:
* Plan a rigorous curriculum that meets the individual needs, interests, and abilities of students.
* Plan, prepare and deliver lesson plans and instructional materials that facilitate active learning.
* Integrate biblical principles and the Christian worldview through an engaging curriculum and classroom activities.
* Support students’ Social Emotional Learning and facilitate all SEL school initiatives and activities.
* Use various instructional strategies and materials that will provide creative teaching to reach the whole child-spiritual, social, and emotional.
* Instruct and monitor students in the use of learning materials and equipment.
* Use relevant technology to support and differentiate instruction.
* Establish and communicate clear objectives for all learning activities.
* Assign and grade classwork, homework, tests, and assignments as required by school policy.
* Prepare classroom and materials for class activities ahead of time.
* Participate in continuous professional development through in-services, workshops, conferences, college coursework, and professional reading.
*Skills and Abilities*
* B.
A/B.
S degree in teaching from an accredited institution or related field teaching
* Puerto Rico Department of Education certification in teaching in the appropriate subject areas.
* Ability to establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with others.
* Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
* Must have the ability and proven ability to report to work regularly and punctually.
* Perform all other related work delegated or required to accomplish the objectives of the total school program.
* Knowledge and implementation of relevant technology.
* Meet professional teacher education requirements of the school and state.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $1,949.
