Options for Youth is a free, year-round public charter school that works alongside its students to design individualized learning plans.
We work to effectively meet their unique academic, social-emotional, and scheduling needs through a blended teaching model, utilizing one-on-one instruction and tutoring, independent study, online learning, small group classes, cultural immersion, and hands-on activities to prepare our students for success.
The primary goal of this position is primarily responsible for delivering our educational program to ensure data-driven, results based instruction for students in the implementation of the Common Core Standards.
Our Ideal Candidate Will:
Masters instruction using an array of teaching strategies and technologies.
Utilizes educational technology and media to enhance learning.
Chats in virtual discussion threads and manages small groups of students to meet individual needs.
Facilitates collaborative grouping and keeps the learning management system organized and updated.
Lesson plans a differentiated curriculum to ensure student success.
Uses assessments and data to influence instruction for student success.
Keeps grade, attendance and retention records.
We’ll need you to have the following requirements:
BA/BS Degree
CA Preliminary or Clear Single Subject teaching credential in Spanish with an EL Authorization
Proficient computer knowledge and previous experience with Student Trac A+
Pay: $33.
00 per hour
